Have you seen me?

Name: April Anne Elggren Thompson
Date of Birth April 29, 1974
Hair: Brown with a light hint of silver hidden at 50 bucks a pop once every 6 weeks or so.
Eyes: Hazel, with the ability to intrigue and empathize.
Height: 5:7" perfect for engulfing in my arms.
Weight: perfect for me not her. This is common in marriage
Last Seen With: Her husband and kids whom she places as top priority
Description: April is such an amazing person. Her best qualities include: 1. her selflessness. April is a loyal friend not only to her friends but to her family. She is willing and ready to go and do and she blesses so many lives, even at times when it is evident to me that she is in need. I see this everyday and am in awe at her patience and ability to love. I some times get annoyed (really embarrassed at my own selfishness) when she waits until everybody is taken care of before herself. Family gatherings are the perfect example where she waits till all have been served even if this means she doesn’t get to try something. She postpones her pleasure for the good of someone else….always. 2. Tenderhearted. April is a loyal friend and a defender of the less fortunate. She RARELY, unless provoked by her cynical husband speaks negatively of anybody. She is great at putting me in my place more often than not. She cares about people and does not like to see them get hurt. 3. FUNNY. I love April’s sense of humor. I enjoy nothing more than watching a comedy with her and seeing her light up with genuine laughter. Her cheeks get red and tears fall. I love her laugh.
For those who may not know April very well, this is only because she is reserved by nature and is most comfortable behind the scenes, a total opposite of her gregarious husband who waits for applause. Yet once you get to know her and become a part of her life you find out quickly what a beautiful person she is, so wonderful, kind and giving.
April doesn’t see this in herself. I call this humility. I love when people approach me and tell me how lucky I am and how much they love April. She touches lives for good. I am lucky and PROUD..yes even “prideful”of what Heavenly Father has blessed me with, all because of this gal who took such a big risk on me.

Accomplishments:
1. Me. Okay….I am one of her accomplishments because of the person she has helped me to be. She is often times my conscience when mine takes a break and she has supported me 100% from day 1. My education was our education, my school or career accomplishments were made possible mainly because of her sacrifices. Oh how I want to make her dreams come true some day! I owe her the world.
2. Our three wonderful kids. She is such a wonderful mother who works hard for her children. I really don’t know how she does it day in and day out, especially since I am working at night. She gets frazzled, understandably, yet marches on in the battle to raise a righteous family. She reads scriptures at night with the kids before bed and sees to it that we sit down as a family when the opportunity presents itself. A righteous mother in Zion.

If you see April say “hello”. Chances are she will end up bringing you a meal or coming to your rescue in some manner. That’s what she does as a great wife, mother and friend. Her cape is just invisible.

I love you Ape! Thank you for every single day. Happy 36th birthday!

Oh my goodness I could not agree more! You are one lucky man. I have thought that many times. I watch April often and wonder how I could be better. She makes me want to be a better sister. I am so blessed to have her as my sister. I LOVE you tons and I hope you had the day you deserve, if that is possible.

Great post Matt! I have always tried to be like April. Isn't she the best?!!! I hope you had a great day, and 50 bucks is a great deal, if she doesn't shave half her head!!
