I have been inspired through some great bloggers to get started on one for our family. Matt and I live in West Point and have for 5 1/2 years now. We Love it! Mason is 7, soon to be 8. Mia is 4 and our baby Madden is 1 1/2. Matt works for Kroger Manufacturing ( aka Smith's) and has been for 11 years now. I am a stay at home mom but I also have a small part time job with ABF Freight Systems. Our family is growing up so quickly and we are all just trying to keep up.
Mason is in 2nd grade and really enjoys it. Sometimes he tells me he doesn't like school but I can tell he says it just because he thinks it's cool. I've never had to push to get him out the door. Although his favorite thing is recess, but isn't it everyone's? Mason is such a kick in the pants. He says some of the most amazingly funny things and sometimes I get a little taken back by how wise beyond his years he is. He keeps us laughing for sure. He's such a blast to have around.
Mia turned 4 in October and is going on 25. She loves anything sparkly, pink, jeweled or fancy. She changes her clothes an average of 30 times a day (there are only 24 hours in a day and part of those she is sleeping or it would be much higher). She is doing preschool through the early intervention with the school district. She goes to a class called Talking Time where they help her work on her speech and they do a ton of fun crafts and projects. She's come a long way since she started a little more then a year ago. She reminds me constantly that when she gets bigger she will get to go to school with Mason on his bus. I haven't had the heart to tell her she still has a year and 1/2. HELP!! She really brings a fun dynamic to our family.
Madden is as sweet as they come. He loves anything you can throw, mostly balls but not limited to that by any means (i.e. sippy cups, phones, remotes, toys, etc...). He would play all day with anyone who will play with him. He loves when Dad comes home from work and lets out a huge SCREAM! Someday soon I have to get it on video so we have it, it's so cute. He;s such a fabulous addition to our family.
Matt started his Masters Degree in the spring of last year and is doing really well with it. I always knew he was smart but he's really doing well(4.0 so far...way to go babe!!). He's got a lot going on with work and his calling but he's managing pretty well. We hope someday to have him back for ourselves but who knows. He should be done with school by Christmas this year. YEAH! What a stud.
As for me, well what is there to tell. I just try to keep up with it all and sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't. Life is good and we couldn't ask for more. I have the cutest kids in the world and a pretty great quality of life. What's to complain about.
